Free online briefing regarding Early Career Teacher Appropriate Body arrangements from September 2023

You will already be aware that the Government is transitioning the responsibility for the Early Career Teacher Appropriate Body services from local authorities to Teaching School Hubs (TSH). 

From September 2023 Telford & Wrekin Local Authority will no longer be providing an Appropriate Body Service.  We are working closely with the STEP Teaching School Hub, based at The Priory School, Shrewsbury, to ensure this transition runs as smoothly as possible. We recommend that when schools either choose, or have to transfer their Early Caree4r Teachers (ECTs) at the end of August 2023, they choose the STEP TSH.

This free online briefing will be led by Telford & Wrekin Local Authority in partnership with STEP and is taking place Thursday 9 March 2023 from 3.30pm to 4.30pm. The briefing will inform you of the arrangements going forward and what actions you need to take to ensure your ECT remains registered with an Appropriate Body.
